Our Programs
CPS Farm to School
The CPS Farm to School program brings the bounty of the Midwest into Chicago lunchrooms. Through delicious, locally sourced meals and opportunities for farmers to teach kids about their craft, students are given a direct connection to the food they consume.
CPS Chef Council
Composed of Chicago-area chefs, culinary organizations, and other experts, the Chef Council advises the CPS Farm to School program on menu plans, creates recipes based on local harvests, and educates students and the community on how to eat healthier foods.
What We Do
We bring CPS students fresh, seasonal menus and a personal connection to our area’s agricultural and culinary trades.
Why We Do
Understanding more about good food and where it comes from makes it easier to find, prepare, and enjoy for a lifetime.
How We Do
Interest in healthy food is forged through student-inspired foods, farmer and chef visits, and educational resources.
