Protein-Packed Superfood

Black beans are a great source of protein and provide our bodies with essential vitamins and minerals like calcium, iron, magnesium, folate, copper, manganese, and B vitamins. This versatile little bean can be enjoyed in many ways - as a seasoned side dish, simmered in soups, pureed into dips, and tossed into salads. This month our students had the opportunity to try a super-delicious spicy black bean burger - definitely not your typical hamburger!
