Field Trip to Windy City Mushroom Farm

On Thursday, January 25th, students from Martin Luther King High School embarked on an educational field trip to the Windy City Mushroom Farm in Chicago's Ford City area. The owners warmly welcomed the students and shared their expertise in mycology and the intricate process of mushroom production.

The students had the opportunity to sample five unique recipes featuring the farm's homegrown mushrooms. The dishes showcased the versatility and deliciousness of the ingredients, and the students enjoyed discovering new flavor combinations. Johnny Staniszewski, co-founder of Windy City Mushroom, emphasized the farm's mission to provide premium gourmet mushrooms at affordable prices, making them accessible to everyone in Chicago.
