Exploring Potatoes from Farm to Plate

On Tuesday, March 19, Martin Luther King High School students celebrated St. Patrick’s Day by diving into the world of potatoes. In this Farm to School class, students explored the anatomy and cultivation of potatoes, tracing their journey from seed to harvest. They also learned about the health benefits of potatoes and their importance in a balanced diet. After the lesson, students enjoyed a baked potato bar, curated by talented Aramark Chefs. They got creative with toppings, transforming their new knowledge into a delicious St. Patrick’s Day feast.
