It was a fun and educational day for the Peck Elementary School students as they learned about gardening through a seed identification activity. Students were also able to enjoy a tasty and nutritious zesty slaw made with crunchy purple cabbage and carrots and dressed with a creamy lime dressing. Try this recipe at home”

Citrus Slaw Recipe

3/4 cup + 1 Tbs Italian Dressing
2 Tbs + 2 Tsp Mayonnaise
1 Tsp Ground Black Pepper
2 Tsp Lime Juice
12 2/3 Oz Shredded Green and Purple Cabbage & Carrots

Serves 8 (1/2 cup)

Directions:

Combine dressing, mayo, black pepper, and lime juice. Whisk until well blended.
Add to cabbage and carrots and stir until well coated with the dressing.
Chill before serving.
